It is abbreviated in the AK emblem as AMC which stands for Acupuncture Meridian Circulation. Dr. Ediss has been trained in post graduate acupuncture training courses through the International College of Applied Kinesiology as well as the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture and is a “Fellow of the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture” (F.I.A.C.A.) and has implemented acupuncture therapy into his practice for well over 25 years.

In our practice, Acupuncture Meridian Therapy is used as a tool to treat patients when acupuncture is necessary. An acupuncture meridian represents a map of the direction and location of the flow of electromagnetic energy which flows through and around the body. There are 12 main meridians, each of which takes the name of various organs and systems. There are also specific muscles that can be directly affected by poor meridian circulation.

Stimulation of various points can be very beneficial when trying to achieve balanced meridian energy. This is real electrical energy which can be measured with a micro voltage meter. The meridians themselves can respond well to a variety of stimuli such as needles, digital pressure, tapping and even Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT).

There are many situations and applications for meridian therapy to be used; Pain Modulation, Scar Tissue, Energy Balance, Addiction Control, etc. Not all patients require acupuncture, but when necessary can be highly effective.
